Seido Karate is a traditional Japanese style of karate. Seido founder, Kaicho Tadashi Nakamura has distilled the essence of what he has learned about the martial arts in over 50 years of study, practice, and teaching. Nevertheless, within Seido, growth of our branch schools is not pursued for its own sake. Quality of instruction and development of the student is paramount. The physical training in Seido can be strenuous, emphasizing progressive development of strength, flexibility and aerobic capacity. In addition to developing students with the highest level of physical skill, Seido aims to develop individuals of the highest moral character. We care! Skip to content. Technique Before Strength.
About Seido Karate
The London Ark Putney Academy dojo runs classes for adults, children and also for women only, throughout the week. We also have several satellite clubs in local schools. We are a family-oriented club and encourage people of all ages and abilities to train with us. We run one-off programmes for less advantaged community groups. We raised money for a charity called Sense, whose aim is to help people with multiple sensory impairments to live full and normal lives. We also travelled to New York to support two of our instructors in their promotions at global HQ.
As I grew and became confident, I learned how to deal with social awkwardness. You knew exactly what you signed up for when you married a doctor. And you know what.
It gives people a sense of purpose, while pressuring them to be 'good' by their book. Am still very hopeful and in love. I have to breathe.
